

The video conference (VC) hearing in the court of Delhi High Court Chief Justice was shut down on Wednesday after pornographic content and disturbing music were played repeatedly on the screen by one of the participants.
A Division Bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia was conducting the proceedings when the incident happened for the first time at around 12:56 PM.
The court staff shut down the VC proceedings immediately. Minutes later, as the VC was restored, the user, logged in with the name 'Sh**jit Singh', played the pornographic content again, leading to the shutdown of the VC proceedings.
The incident was repeated yet again soon after the VC proceedings were restored, prompting the Court staff to shut down the proceedings.
The VC proceedings are yet to be restored at the time of publishing the piece.
Wednesdays are Public Interest Litigation (PIL) days in the Chief Justice's court and the Bench is seized of nearly 100 cases today.
Update: The High Court administration has filed a complaint with the Delhi Police's Intelligence Fusion & Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit, which has initiated a preliminary inquiry to examine the nature and extent of the issue.
