

The School of Criminal Law and Military Law (SCLML), Rashtriya Raksha University, Gujarat (RRU) in collaboration with SK Singhi and Partners is offering a certificate course in 'Defence and High Technology Contract Drafting'.
Contracts form the backbone of legal and commercial transactions, serving as critical instruments for defining rights and obligations between parties.
In today’s dynamic legal and business environment, professionals must possess the ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts with confidence and competence.
This certificate course in Defence and High Technology Contract Drafting is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools necessary to draft legally sound contracts. The course will bridge theoretical legal principles with real-world applications, and will be followed by a graded assessment.
Objectives
A comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of contract law in contexts that enhance market skills, including offer, acceptance, consideration, and enforceability, and their practical application in drafting, interpreting, and analyzing Defence corporate contracts and High Technology Nuclear Energy Deals.
Develop advanced drafting skills to create clear, enforceable, and context-specific contracts that meet current market demands and align with business objectives. Equip participants with the ability to analyze Defence and High Technology contracts effectively, including reading and interpreting contractual terms to identify legal risks, obligations, and opportunities.
Enhance the ability to design effective clauses to mitigate legal risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and align contract terms with legal requirements.
Eligibility
Students enrolled in a 5-year integrated law programme/3-year LL.B. Students enrolled in 1-year/2-year post-graduation in Law.
Graduate and Post-Graduate students in Economics, Management, Finance, Commerce, and other disciplines.
Research Scholars from Law, Economics, Management, Finance, Commerce, and other disciplines.
Academicians.
Working Professionals such as Practicing Advocates, Company Secretaries, etc.
Officers from Central/State Governments and other statutory bodies/authorities.

Evaluation Process
After the completion of teaching modules, there shall be a graded assessment based on the overall content of all the course sessions.
The graded assessment will comprise 50 multiple-choice questions, consisting of 50 marks (1 mark each).
A participant can attempt the graded assessment only once. It shall be mandatory for the participants to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in the MCQ test to complete the course successfully.
Lastly, the participants must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance overall to complete the course successfully.
Only the participants who obtain a minimum of 50% marks in the MCQ test and fulfil the attendance requirement will be awarded the Certificate of Participation.
Internship opportunities will be provided to law students who score highest in the MCQ test
