DNLU invites registrations for 2nd REVĀ National Moot Court Competition 2026: Register Now

The Moot Court Committee (MCC), Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU) is now inviting registrations for the second edition of REVĀ National Moot Court Competition 2026 scheduled for April 11-13, 2026.

The proposition revolves around criminal and constitutional law, focusing on the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO Act).

It examines issues relating to consensual adolescent relationships, age-gap exemptions, and constitutional challenges under Articles 14, 19, and 21.

Eligibility

  • Open to students pursuing a 5-year integrated LL.B. or a 3-year LL.B programme in India.

  • Each institution may send a maximum of two teams.

  • Team composition:

    3-member team: Two speakers + One researcher

    2-member team: Both participants must be speakers

Registration fee

  • Round-I (Memorial Qualification Round): ₹1000 per team

  • Round-II (Oral Rounds):

    ₹800 per person (without accommodation)

    ₹1500 per person (with accommodation & food)

Registration process

  • Provisional Registration: Institutions must reserve their slot via their Moot Court Society by mailing mcc@mpdnlu.ac.in.

  • Round-I Registration: Upon confirmation, teams must complete the Google Form and pay ₹1000 before March 1, 2026.

  • Post-Qualification (Round II): The top 16 teams who qualify must complete registration and payment before April 1, 2026.

Important dates

  • Provisional registration & release of problem: February 15, 2026

  • Last Date of registration & payment for round-I: March 1, 2026

  • Last Date to seek clarifications: March 5, 2026

  • Submission of memorial (soft copy): March 26, 2026

  • Memorial qualification result: March 30, 2026

  • Round-II registration & payment deadline: April 1, 2026

  • Exchange of memorials & researcher’s test: April 11, 2026

  • Preliminary & semi-finals: April 12, 2026

  • Final round & valedictory ceremony: April 13, 2026

Prizes

  • Winners: ₹30,000

  • Runners-Up: ₹20,000

  • Best Memorial (Petitioner): ₹7,500

  • Best Memorial (Respondent): ₹7,500

  • Best Speaker: ₹5,000

  • Best Researcher: ₹5,000
