The conference, titled “Arbitration in the Era of Globalization: Legal Technology, Economic Development & Cross-Border Disputes,” will focus on the role of legal technology, evolving dispute resolution mechanisms, and cross-border arbitration in a globalised economy.

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant will inaugurate the conference. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu will deliver a special address on the inaugural day.

Technical sessions will be chaired by Supreme Court judges BV Nagarathna, Ahsanuddin Amanullah, Aravind Kumar and Prashant Kumar Mishra. These sessions will examine issues including harmonisation of arbitration and mediation frameworks, the use of technology in arbitration, and developments in cross-border dispute resolution.

The valedictory address will be delivered by Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta will also deliver a special address.

The conference will also include roundtable discussions involving policymakers, arbitration practitioners and institutional representatives. Speakers include Sudhakar Dalela, Rajiv Mani and Justice (retd) AK Sikri.

According to ICA, the discussions will focus on issues such as geopolitical risks in arbitration, strengthening institutional arbitration, and enhancing cross-border cooperation. The conference is expected to bring together arbitrators, legal practitioners, policymakers and representatives from international arbitration institutions.
