N Natarajan Charitable Trust Moot Court Competition 2025 to be held in September: Registrations Open!

The State-level event is being organised in collaboration with the Madras Bar Association and is open to law students studying in Tamil Nadu.

The Senior Advocate N Natarajan Charitable Trust, in collaboration with the Madras Bar Association (MBA) is inviting registrations for the 2025 edition of the N Natarajan Charitable Trust Moot Court Competition.

This is a State-level competition, organized with support from members of the Madras High Court's legal fraternity. It will be held in September at the premises of the Madras Bar Association and the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in Chennai, with the final round being held at the New Auditorium, High Court of Madras.

Participation is strictly restricted to bona fide law students enrolled in the three year or five year LLB or LLB degree course in any institution in Tamil Nadu. Only one team is permitted to participate from each registered institution.

The competition this year will see the presence of sitting Supreme Court and Madras High Court judges as well as senior advocates, which is aimed at ensuring that the event is judged with a near-real court environment.

Registrations are now open and will close on August 18, 2025 at 11.59 PM.

Confirmation of Participation: August 20, 2025

Last date for clarification (Moot proposition/ Rules): August 22, 2025

Submission of Hard Copies of Memorandum: September 15, 2025

N Natarajan Charitable Trust Moot Court Competition Dates: September 19-21, 2025

This year's moot proposition deals with an appeal to the Supreme Court which touches upon contemporary issues of cyber scams, deepfakes, UPI and issues of hacking.

The proposition has been drafted by Madras High Court Advocates, B Arvind Srevatsa, and Avinash Krishnan Ravi, and settled by Senior Advocate MK Kabir.
