NALSAR wins 7th Arun Jaitley International Insolvency and Bankruptcy Moot Competition, 2024

A team from National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) Hyderabad won the 7th Arun Jaitley International Insolvency and Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition held from September 27-29.

The event was organised by the Centre for Transnational Commercial Law (CTCL), at National Law University, Delhi.

The winning team consisted of Bhavya Adhana, Aashvanshi Chowdhary, Aaryan Dhasmana and Shreya Sethi. The team from Jindal Global Law School were runners-up. Best Speaker was awarded to Bhavya Adhana.

The moot problem focused on the insolvency of a company facing financial crises in India and the UK. The final round was adjudged by a panel comprising of Senior Advocates Sunil Fernandes and Swarupama Chaturvedi, and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Partner Anoop Rawat.

The valedictory ceremony was attended by former Supreme Court judge and National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) Chairperson Justice Ashok Bhushan.
