RPNLU Prayagraj and ICPS Delhi sign MoU to foster academic and research collaboration

The Dr Rajendra Prasad National Law University, Prayagraj (RPNLU) and the Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies, Delhi (ICPS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster institutional cooperation in the areas of parliamentary procedures, Constitutional law, and legislative drafting.

Signed by Vice-Chancellor of RPNLU, Prof (Dr) Usha Tandon, and Director of ICPS, Dr Seema Kaul Singh, the MoU is aimed at committing to jointly undertake research projects, academic programs, and training activities.

It marks an agreement by the two institutions to work together to develop and conduct courses and programs that enhance awareness about the law, the Constitution and the parliamentary system.

This partnership aims to further academic innovation, legal research and democratic governance in the field of Constitutional and parliamentary studies.

This collaboration will enrich our students and faculty by providing them with exposure to practical aspects of legislative drafting and governance, strengthening their academic and professional competencies," said RPNLU VC, Prof (Dr) Usha Tandon.

The MoU will facilitate faculty exchange and sharing of research and development facilities to support academic initiatives.

Specialized courses, programmes and training courses on legislative drafting and parliamentary procedures will be jointly conducted to build professional expertise. These will provide students with hands-on experience through internships and career opportunities in the field of Constitutional and parliamentary studies.

The institutions have agreed to specific activities under the MoU to be developed through mutual consultation, in an effort to ensure that the collaboration remains dynamic and responsive to emerging academic and professional needs.

Commenting on the collaboration, Dr. Seema Kaul Singh, Director of ICPS stated,

“This MoU marks a milestone in fostering academic excellence and policy research in Constitutional and Parliamentary studies. We look forward to a fruitful partnership with RPNLU, Prayagraj.”
