Global e-commerce giant Amazon has acquired 100% shareholding of social commerce start-up GlowRoad for an undisclosed amount.

AZB & Partners represented Amazon on the deal.

The team was led by Partners Hardeep Sachdeva, Ravi Bhasin and Shivang Sargoch assisted by Senior Associates Gursimran Kohli and Rachel Noronha.

IndusLaw represented GlowRoad on the deal.

The team comprised Partners Anindya Ghosh and Aakash Dasgupta, Senior Associate Jaidrath Zaveri and Associate Akshay Madan.

The deal is to happen as an all-cash transaction.

Post the acquisition, GlowRoad will be a part of Amazon in India and will act as medium to accelerate entrepreneurship among millions of creators, homemakers, students, and small sellers across India.
