Begur & Partners advised Equirus InnovateX Fund on it’s equity investment in PointO (P2G Mobilty Private Limited).

PointO is a Kolkata-based cleantech startup founded in 2019 by IIT-Guwahati alumni Riki Biswas, Gaurav Jindal, and Pratim Bagui. The company aims to build a comprehensive lithium battery ecosystem, focusing on financial inclusion and climate resilience. Initially targeting the electric three-wheeler segment, PointO offers battery leasing, repair and maintenance services, and spare parts through a network of partners and a robust technology platform.

With a team of over 50 professionals, PointO is expanding its services to the home inverter segment, continuing its commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Equirus Group, established in 2007, is a prominent Indian financial services firm offering a range of services including investment banking, wealth management, and insurance broking. Over the years, Equirus has executed over 245 transactions across mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and capital markets, raising more than $11 billion. In 2024, the group launched the Equirus InnovateX Fund, a $25 million early-stage fund aimed at supporting tech startups in sectors like SaaS, deep tech, fintech, and B2B domains.
