CMS INDUSLAW has advised GAIL (India) Limited on a long‐term liquefied natural gas (LNG) Sale and Purchase Agreement with Vitol Asia Pte. Ltd., under which GAIL will receive approximately 1 MMTPA of LNG for a 10 year period beginning in 2026.
The transaction team was led by Shashwat Kumar (Partner), with support from Harshit Gupta (Associate).
GAIL (India) Limited is India’s Largest Natural Gas Company, having a significant presence in natural gas transmission, marketing and processing, LPG transmission, petrochemicals, City Gas and E&P.
The transaction represents a strategic milestone in GAIL’s ongoing efforts to secure diversified, long-term LNG supplies to meet India’s growing energy demand.
