IndusLaw, Gunderson, NovoJuris, Khaitan act on ShareChat $40 million fund raise

The social media and online gaming company has said the current funding round will be used to drive the growth of its new short-video platform Moj.

Indian social network, ShareChat (Mohalla Tech Private Limited), has raised $40 million in Pre-Series E round from existing investors and certain new investors.

The new round of funding had significant investment from Dr. Pawan Munjal, DCM Shriram Promoters Family Office, SAIF Partners, Twitter, Lightspeed Ventures and India Quotient, reported ET.

IndusLaw advised ShareChat and the team was led by Partners Manish Gupta and Anubha Sital along with Senior Associate Chitvan Bakshi and Associate Rashi Singh.

Lightspeed entities were represented by Gunderson and their team included Jolyn Ang and Jonathan C Pentzien.

Novo Juris acted for IQ entities and the team included Sharda Balaji and Sona Malhotra.

Khaitan & Co acted for Twitter and the team was led by Partner Sharad Moudgal with Senior Associate B N Vivek and Associate Aarthi Sashikumar.
