Khaitan, CAM guide Saregama India's ₹325 crore investment in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's studio

Pursuant to this investment, Saregama India will hold exclusive music rights for all future Bhansali films.

Saregama India Limited has made an investment of ₹325 crore in Bhansali Productions Pvt. Ltd., pursuant to which Saregama will hold a significant minority stake in Bhansali Productions as well as exclusive music rights for all future Bhansali films.

Khaitan & Co advised Saregama India on this investment.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Bhansali Productions on this transaction.

The transaction team was led by Ruetveij Pandya (Partner), Aarushi Jain (Partner, Head - Media, Education & Gaming), Pooja Kapadia (Partner) and Abhilasha Malpani (Principal Associate), with support from Associates Sana Sarosh, Diksha Arora, and Nayanika Gupta.

The deal brings together Bhansali Productions’ film and OTT content capabilities with Saregama’s music and live events business, as the company sharpens its focus on partnerships rather than in-house film production.
