Khaitan & Co acts on Joint Venture between Aditya Birla Fashion and Christian Louboutin

The two entities have entered into a 50:50 JV to form CLI Footwear and Accessories

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with Christian Louboutin SAS to form CLI Footwear and Accessories Pvt Ltd, to distribute and sell Christian Louboutin’s luxury products in India.

Khaitan & Co advised Aditya Birla Fashion on this JV. The firm was involved in assisting Aditya Birla Fashion in conducting a limited diligence of Christian Louboutin as well as in drafting, reviewing and finalization of the joint venture agreement and the asset purchase agreement.

The transaction team consisted of Shourya Sengupta (Lead Partner), Sneh Lata (Principal Associate), Supallab Chakraborty (Senior Associate).
