Novo Holdings has gone forth with a secondary purchase of shares of Medanta from Anant Investments (an affiliate of the Carlyle Group) in a pre-IPO deal.

Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India represented Novo Holdings in this deal.

The core transaction team consisted of Nishant Singh (Partner), Saksham Madan (Senior Associate), Varshini Ramesh (Associate), Charith Reddy (Associate) and Aditi Nagpal (Associate).

The tax team consisted of Sumit Mangal (Partner), Mayank Aggarwal (Partner Designate) and Radhika Sharma (Associate).

Novo Holdings (one of the world’s leading investors in the life science space) is a holding and investment company, responsible for managing the operating and financial assets of the Novo Nordisk Foundation.  

Medanta's chain of hospitals, Global Health Limited, has recently gone public with an initial public offering (IPO) of freshly issued equity shares.
