M. T. Miskita & Co has advised the Adani Group in its bid to be the construction and development agency for the prestigious Motilal Nagar redevelopment project, the largest housing re-development initiative in the city.

The firm advised on range of legal, regulatory and strategic matters pertaining to the tender, the bid and transaction documents.

The transaction team was led by Viren Miskita (Managing Partner) and Neha Mehta (Partner), with assistance from Ria Sawant (Principal Associate), Aayushi Gohil (Senior Associate), Umair Merchant (Senior Associate), and Associates Shiksha Pathak, Akshara Kurup, and Vainy Kacharia.

The project is being implemented by Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority as developer, through the construction and development agency model. It aims to renew and transform Motilal Nagar 1, 2, and 3, and involves the rehabilitation of 3,372 eligible residential units, 328 eligible commercial units, and 1,600 slum tenements, on a land area of approximately 578,700 square meters with construction expected to be completed within seven years.
