SAM advises Premier Energies on acquiring 51% stake in Transcon Ind

Premier Energies Limited has acquired a 51% controlling stake in Transcon Ind Limited.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co advised Premier Energies on this acquisition.

The transaction team was led by Kushal Sinha (Partner) and Dhrupad Pant (Partner), with support from Ishita Sehgal (Principal Associate), and Associates Pratyush Gupta, Suryansh Srivastava, Yash Goyal, and Abhishek Choudhary.

Established in 1995, Premier Energies is an integrated solar cell and solar module manufacturing company. Backed by GEF Capital, Premier Energies is at the forefront of innovative technology, crafting photovoltaic products and solutions. Premier Energies' cutting-edge manufacturing units are spread across three locations in Telangana. As of March 31st, 2024, the company boasts an annual production capacity of 3.2 GW for solar cells and 6 GW for solar modules.

The deal marks Premier Energies’ foray into the power transformer manufacturing segment, expanding its presence in India’s fast-growing energy infrastructure ecosystem.
