SAM advises Trip.com Group on $3 billion Share Repurchase Agreement with MakeMyTrip

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co advised China-based Trip.com Group in connection with its share repurchase agreement with MakeMyTrip Limited.

The value of this deal was approximately $3 billion as consideration for the repurchase of a portion of its Class B ordinary shares held by Trip.com.

The transaction team was led by Gouri Puri (Partner), Rahul Yadav (Counsel) and Nimish Malpani (Principal Consultant).

MakeMyTrip is a pioneer in India's online travel industry, founded by Deep Kalra in 2000. The company offers a wide range of online travel services, including airline tickets, domestic and international holiday packages, hotel reservations, and rail and bus tickets.
