TT&A assists Tata Motors on acquisition of 26.79% stake in Freight Tiger

The deal amount is valued at ₹150 crore.

Tata Motors Limited - Commercial Vehicles has acquired 26.79% stake in Freight Tiger (Freight Commerce Solutions Private Limited) by way of a primary investment of ₹150 crore, through a combination of equity shares and compulsory convertible preference shares.

TT&A acted as the Indian counsel to Tata Motors in this acquisition deal.

The transaction team consisted of Gautam Saha (Joint Managing Partner), Sachin Mehta (Partner), Deepa Christopher (Partner), Pooja Menon (Managing Associate), Chhavi Singhal (Senior Associate), Utsav Agarwal (Senior Associate), Dev Jain (Associate), Prakhar Srivastava (Associate), Pranav Mihir Kandada (Associate), Radhika Sarda (Associate) and Sajjan Singh Chouhan (Associate).

Tata Motors has already introduced its connected vehicle platform ‘Fleet Edge’ for aiding fleet operations management. Tata Motors' strategic investment in ‘Freight Tiger’ will accelerate the company's initiatives in driving effectiveness and efficiency in the truck and freight ecosystem.

Together, these innovative solutions (‘Fleet Edge’ & ‘Freight Tiger’) aspire to forge a comprehensive end-to-end digital ecosystem for the entire logistics value chain, covering both the truck and the trip ecosystem thereby bringing significant benefits to shippers, brokers and transporters who keep India moving.
