TT&A, CAM act on JSW Energy's acquisition of Tidong Hydropower Plant from Statkraft

This acquisition adds to the hydroelectric generation capacity of JSW Energy in Himachal Pradesh.

JSW Energy Limited, through its subsidiary, JSW Neo Energy Limited, has made a 100% acquisition of the share capital of Tidong Power Generation Private Limited from Statkraft IH Holding AS.

TT&A advised JSW Energy on this acquisition.

The Tidong Hydropower Plant is a 150 MW run-of-river hydropower project on a tributary of Sutlej River in the Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh.

This acquisition adds to the hydroelectric generation capacity of JSW Energy, significantly augmenting JSW’s capacity in the state of Himachal Pradesh and will help JSW Energy in achieving its renewable-led capacity growth target of 30 GW by FY 2030.
