Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited has acquired Organon & Co in an all‑cash deal, valuing Organon at $11.75 billion.

The acquisition will be made through Sun Pharmaceutical Holdings a U.S. subsidiary of Sun Pharma.

According to the press release, after this deal, Sun Pharma will one of the 25 largest pharma companies in the world with a $12.4 Billion revenue.

AZB & Partners is advising Sun Pharma on Indian law aspects of this acquisition.

The transaction team consisted of Vaidhyanadhan Iyer (Senior Partner), Jeet Chaudhuri (Partner), Bhanu Prakash J. (Senior Associate), Manhar Chaudhary (Senior Associate), Nishita Agrawal (Senior Associate), Priya Venkatesan (Senior Associate) and Vidhi Barot.

Nilang T. Desai (Senior Partner) and Avinash Subramanian (Partner), along with their team, advised on financing law aspects of the transaction.

White & Case LLP is serving as legal advisor to Sun Pharma.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas is advising Organon on Indian law aspects of the acquisition.
