AZB’s Delhi Partner, Debashish Sankhari resigns; Seeks entrepreneurial job profile

AZB & Partners’ Debashish Sankhari has recently resigned from the firm. Sankhari was a Partner in the firm’s Delhi office and told Bar & Bench that he was on the look out for a profile that allowed for a mix of entrepreneurship and legal practice.

AZB Managing Partner Ajay Bahl said, “We wish Deba the best. We have enjoyed the time he has spent with us.”

A National Law School of India University graduate, Sankhari joined AZB in 2007 as a Senior Associate and was made a Partner in 2012. Prior to joining AZB, he was working with Fox Mandal as a Senior Associate, before which he was working at Vaish Associates

Interestingly, Sankhari started his career with an international non-governmental organization, the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative. He was part of the advocacy group for three years after which he decided to move to corporate law practice.

This is the second Partner-level resignation in as many months from the Delhi office in. Last month, Delhi Capital Markets Partner Meera Singh had resigned from the firm for personal reasons.
