Central government clears transfer of four High Court Chief Justices

The Supreme Court Collegium had made a recommendation for these transfers on May 28.

The Union government on Monday cleared the transfers of Chief Justices of Rajasthan, Tripura, Jharkhand and Madras High Courts.

As per the notification issued today:

- Madras High Court Chief Justice KR Shriram has been transferred to the Rajasthan High Court.

- Rajasthan High Court Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava has been transferred to the Madras High Court.

- Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice MS Ramachandra Rao to the Tripura High Court; and

- Tripura High Court Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh to the Telangana High Court.

The Supreme Court Collegium had made a recommendation for these transfers on May 28.

Meanwhile, the Centre today also cleared the appointment of new Chief Justices to Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Gauhati, Patna and Jharkhand High Courts.
