Central govt notifies extension of tenure of Justice Abhay Ahuja as Additional Judge of Bombay High Court

The Central government on Monday extended of term of Justice Abhay Ahuja as an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court for a period of one year with effect from January 4, 2022.

The notification extending the tenure was published on the website of the Ministry of Law and Justice.

"In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Abhay Ahuja, Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court, to be an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court for a period of one year with effect from 04th March, 2022," the notification said.

The Supreme Court Collegium had, pursuant to its meeting on December 14, 2021 recommended the extension of term of Justice Ahuja as Additional Judge for a period of one year.

Justice Ahuja was appointed additional judge of Bombay High Court in February 2020.
