Centre clears appointment of 3 judicial officers as additional judges of Andhra Pradesh High Court

As on July 1, the Andhra Pradesh High Court, which has a sanctioned strength of 37 judges, is functioning with 29 judges, a vacancy position of 8.

The Central government on Friday cleared the appointment of three judicial officers as additional judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

The three judicial officers are:

  • Sunitha Gandham;

  • Alapati Giridhar;

  • Purushottam Kumar Chintelapudi.

Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of Law and Justice (Independent Charge) took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the appointments.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended their names following a meeting held on May 4.
