Citi General Counsel Sandip Beri resigns; Will be returning to private practice

Sandip Beri, Citi General Counsel (South Asia) has resigned to go back to private practice. Sandip, who is dual qualified to practice both in India and the US, had joined Citi in 2010 from GE Capital.

Sandip has over 27 years of experience working both at law firm and as in-house counsel. His areas of experience include Corporate & Securities, M&A, Banking & Structured Finance, Private Equity, Government Relations, and Regulatory Compliance.

Prior to joining Citi, he was working as General Counsel, South Asia, and Head of the Corporate Secretarial and Government Relations at GE Capital after a stint at the GE headquarters in US. The graduate of Faculty of Law, Delhi University worked as an associate at the Chicago offices of US-based Sidley & Austin, after pursuing his Masters at the University of Wisconsin. 

Sandip was not available for comment at the time of going to press.
