Collegium recommends appointment of advocate Amit Lahoti as Madhya Pradesh High Court judge

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of advocate Amit Lahoti as a judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

The recommendation was made following a Collegium meeting held on June 2.

"The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 2nd June, 2026 has approved the proposal for appointment of Shri Amit Lahoti, Advocate as a Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh," the Collegium's statement reads.

The current working strength of the High Court is 40 judges against a sanctioned strength of 53.
