Collegium recommends appointment of three lawyers as Rajasthan High Court judges

The Rajasthan High Court is currently functioning with 34 judges as against a sanctioned strength of 50.

The Supreme Court collegium on Thursday recommended  the names of three lawyers for appointment as judges of the Rajasthan High Court.

The lawyers who have been recommended are:

  • Bipin Gupta;

  • Sanjeet Purohit; and

  • Ravi Chirania.

The decision was taken by the Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India BR Gavai.

The Rajasthan High Court is currently functioning with 38 judges as against a sanctioned strength of 50.
