Akshat Bhatnagar joins Kochhar & Co as Partner in Corporate M&A practice

Bhatnagar has joined the firm's Gurgaon office with his team of three Associates.

Akshat S. Bhatnagar has joined Kochhar & Co as a Partner in Corporate M&A practice at the firm's Gurgaon office. He joins the firm along with his team of associates: Vireman Singh Chauhan, Arya Utkarshini, and Bhanu Chaudhary.

Bhatnagar over 17 years of professional experience spanning both law firms and in-house legal departments. He has advised clients on complex corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, intellectual property management, regulatory compliance, and cross-border transactional matters across the EU, USA, and the Asia-Pacific regions.

In the past, Bhatnagar has held senior in-house positions as General Counsel at Ibibo Group and CP Wholesale India, after beginning his legal career with Reliance Industries.

Before joining Kochhar, he led the Corporate Practice at the India alliance of the international law firm Kaden Boriss, advising clients across various sectors. His move to Kochhar & Co. integrates his corporate practice from Kaden Boriss and further strengthens the firm’s corporate and M&A capabilities in the NCR region.
