AQUILAW's Rajarshi Dasgupta joins Fox Mandal & Associates as Executive Director, Head – Indirect Tax

Rajarshi Dasgupta has joined Fox Mandal & Associates as Executive Director, Head – Indirect Tax, at the Firm's Kolkata office and he will spearhead the Firm’s indirect tax, GST advisory and litigation practice.

Dasgupta has two decades of extensive experience in indirect tax advisory, compliance and litigation. He has advised a wide spectrum of Indian and multinational clients across sectors including manufacturing, real estate, logistics, hospitality, EPC, aviation, power, telecom, and IT/ITES. His expertise spans GST advisory, transaction structuring, supply chain optimisation, and handling complex tax disputes across forums.

Prior to joining Fox Mandal & Associates, Dasgupta was the National Leader – Indirect Tax and GST at AQUILAW. He has also held leadership roles at KPMG and PwC, where he spent nearly a decade advising on indirect tax matters.

He has been actively involved in policy advocacy and has advised industry bodies such as CREDAI, the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India, and the Ropeways Association of India on representations before the GST Council. Dasgupta is also an empaneled consultant with the Asian Development Bank and has worked closely with multiple state governments on indirect tax reforms.
