Consulting arm of The Law Point hires former Khaitan lawyer Sandeep Chowdhury to head practice

Chowdhury, who graduated from University of Calcutta, started his career with Khaitan & Co.

The Consulting Point (TCP), consulting arm of law firm The Law Point, has hired Sandeep Chowdhury to head its practice.

Chowdhury, who graduated from University of Calcutta, started his career with Khaitan & Co. He went on to work for Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, Baxter International, Bharti Walmart and Advanta Seeds.

Until recently, he was Chief General Counsel of Nuvoco Vistas.

His areas of expertise include corporate and commercial contracts, joint ventures, technology licensing, intellectual property matters, competition law, employment, securities law, compliance, subscription agreements and corporate governance.

He will work closely with Poornima Advani, Managing Partner of The Law Point.

TCP is looking to build a place in the alternative legal services market in India, and will provide Virtual General Counsel (VGC) services to companies of all sizes.
