Nestlé India has appointed Associate General Counsel Dhwani Rao as the company's new General Counsel and Head - Legal & Compliance.

Rao will take over from TS Venkateswaran, who is stepping down effective January 1, 2026.

Rao is a 2005 alumna of Symbiosis Law School, Pune. With nearly two decades of experience, she specialises in intellectual property, digital laws, food laws, consumer protection and HR laws.

She has been associated with Nestlé India for the past 13 years. Prior to her elevation, she served as an Associate General Counsel - Food, IP, HR, Digital Laws.

Before joining Nestlé, Rao worked at law firm Archer & Angel.
