Mohit Lahoty has joined ThinkLaw Advocates as a Partner in Technology, Media and Intellectual Property (IP) practice in Mumbai.
Lahoty is a 2000 graduate of Symbiosis Law College. He earned his LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from the University of New Hampshire in 2002.
With over 23 years of experience, Lahoty is a seasoned lawyer specialising in technology, media, and intellectual property. He has led high-performing in-house teams and served as lead counsel for diverse business units, providing strategic legal advice on policy and regulatory matters, contentious issues, complex rights disputes, and matters involving emerging technologies to global conglomerates in India.
Before joining ThinkLaw, Lahoty was the Assistant Regional Counsel of Disney+ Hotstar till May 2025. He was leading legal strategy for the streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar and overseeing all Intellectual Property matters across their business units.
He has previously also worked at Luthra and Luthra and Anand and Anand.
