[Exclusive] Former AZB Partner, Actis GC Ratnadeep Roychowdhury joins Nishith Desai Associates

Roychowdhury joins Nishith Desai Associates after leading the legal function for Actis in India for more than three years.

Actis General Counsel Ratnadeep Roychowdhury is joining Nishith Desai Associates as Leader.

Commenting on the development, the firm's Founder and Managing Partner Nishith Desai said,

“We are excited to have Ratnadeep join us as Leader in the PE/M&A practice. His specialised knowledge of the PE industry will be very helpful to us. His significant experience advising on marquee disputes will be an additional bonus to the team."

Roychowdhury joins Nishith Desai Associates after leading the legal affairs at Actis in India for more than three years.

Prior to Actis, he was a Partner at AZB, where he specialised in PE, M&A and disputes.

After graduating from NUJS, Kolkata in 2007, he started his career with the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas. He joined AZB in 2011 and was made Partner in 2015.

On his decision to join NDA, Roychowdhury said,
