Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) Equity Partner Abhishek Guha and Partners Tanya Uppal and Mahesh Wasadikar have resigned from the firm to join Trilegal.
It is understood that the Trilegal partnership has started the voting process to induct Guha, Uppal and Wasadikar into the firm as partners in the Corporate practice.

Guha is an alumnus of West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata.
He specialises in private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the pharmaceutical/healthcare, information technology and banking & finance sectors. He has acted for several private and public companies, banks and financial institutions and financial sponsors. He also advises MNCs on compliances with Indian foreign exchange, regulatory and securities regulations.
Guha is exiting SAM after being associated with the firm for over 18 years.
Uppal is a 2011 graduate of Amity University.
With over 12 years of experience, she specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and capital markets. She has led numerous complex transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
She has been associated with SAM for the past 6 years. Before that, she was working at Trilegal.
Wasadikar is a 2010 graduate of Rizvi Law College. He is also a Solicitor associated with Bombay Incorporated Law Society.
With 15 years of experience, he focuses on private equity investments and domestic and cross-border M&A transactions across sectors, commercial contracts and corporate advisory.
Wasadikar has been associated with SAM for the past year, as a Partner.
