King Stubb & Kasiva launches 16-Member Media & Entertainment Practice from third Mumbai Office

King Stubb & Kasiva (KSK) has announced the launch of its dedicated 16-member Media & Entertainment Practice in Mumbai, led by Partners Arpit Choudhary and Rahul Mehta.

Located in Andheri West, the heart of Mumbai’s production, OTT, advertising, music and talent ecosystem, the new practice brings together a full-service team with expertise across film, television, digital content, music, gaming, advertising, and creator rights.

This is the firm's third office in Mumbai after Nariman Point and Lower Parel.

Choudhary and Mehta bring extensive experience advising studios, producers, OTT platforms, agencies, talent, and emerging digital creators.

Choudhary, with over a decade in Media & Entertainment Law, has represented leading producers, broadcasters, studios, content aggregators, and talent in litigation and complex advisory matters. His expertise spans Media Rights Management, development and acquisition deals, co-production structures, distribution and syndication, production clearances, content compliance, and commercial deal negotiation. He is known for combining strong legal acumen with practical business insight, making him a trusted advisor for large-scale film and digital content projects.

Mehta specializes in Media & Entertainment and Copyright Law, advising on high-value transactions, content acquisition structures, financing arrangements, production and co-production deals, and talent agreements. He has closed major revenue and cast agreements for projects across multiple languages and has successfully handled disputes and injunction matters relating to film releases. With years of experience leading legal strategy within prominent entertainment organizations, he is known as a sharp negotiator and business-enabler with a deep understanding of the industry’s operational realities.

The 16-member practice includes lawyers specialising in production, distribution, IP strategy, rights acquisition, advertising law, music licensing, gaming, talent contracts, and dispute resolution. The team also supports fast-growing sectors such as digital platforms, creator monetization, and sports & live events.
