Lakshmi Rajagopalan rejoins Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as a Partner in Bengaluru

Rajagopalan will be a part of the firm's Financial Services and Technology practice.

Lakshmi Rajagopalan has rejoined Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as a Partner in Financial Services and Technology practice at the firm's Bengaluru office.

Rajagopalan is a 2008 graduate of National University of Advanced Legal Studies. She earned her LLM with Certificate of Specialization in Environmental Law & Energy and Clean Technology Laws from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2011.

She was working at Udaan as Assistant General Counsel before rejoining CAM.

Rajagopalan has over fifteen years of experience in projects, banking and finance and fintech laws. She has previously worked with Udaan; Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas. Her in-house role focused on managing banking and finance transactions across group entities and managing all legal and regulatory compliance functions from an RBI standpoint for the fintech vertical housing an NBFC, a payment aggregator and a lending service provider. She also additionally handled regulatory projects and collaborated with senior management on strategic initiatives like equity fundraising and group reorganization.

While in Cyril Amarchand (and erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas), Rajagopalan has advised various banks, financial institutions, funds, NBFC’s and investors on financing / debt investments including structured lending in various sectors.
