NLISU grad Gautam Narasimhan appointed Managing Partner of Allen & Overy at Singapore

Effective May 1, Narasimhan and Tim Beech will take over the position held by Chris Moore since 2013.

Gautam Narasimhan has been appointed as a Managing Partner at the Singapore office of Allen & Overy.

Effective May 1, Narasimhan and Tim Beech will take over the position held by Chris Moore since 2013.

Narasimhan is a 2000 graduate of National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore and also holds an LL.M. from New York University School of Law. He is qualified to practice in the United Kingdom, New York, Singapore and India.

He began his career in London with Clifford Chance and then worked at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett before moving to Latham & Watkins in Singapore, in 2006. He joined Allen & Overy in 2011, and was made Banking Partner in 2013.

His practice focuses on leveraged finance, structured finance and private equity in South and Southeast Asia, particularly in India, Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore.

Speaking on the development, Narasimhan said,
