Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Chennai Head GV Anand Bhushan is leaving the firm to join Facebook as Director (Legal).

Bhushan had joined Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas in 2016 to set up and head its Chennai office.

Confirming this development to Bar & Bench, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Managing Partner Pallavi Shroff said,

"We look forward to continuing the relationship even when he is at Facebook. We wish him all the very best and great success."

Prior to joining SAM, Bhushan was working at Cognizant Technology Solutions as General Counsel. He was responsible for legal, compliance, and government affairs, and was a member of the board of Cognizant APAC.

Before that, Bhushan ran his own law firm for four years.

Bhushan is a graduate of Dr Ambedkar Law University, Tamil Nadu and also holds an LL.M. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in the United States.
