Former Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas lawyer Anoopam N Prasad sets up chambers

After a 3-year stint at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) in New Delhi, Advocate Anoopam N Prasad has set up the Chambers of Anoopam N Prasad.

Prasad is a 2009 alumnus of Campus Law Centre, Delhi University.

He has previously worked in the chambers of former Attorney General the late Goolam E Vahanvati and subsequently under Senior Advocate Sidharth Luthra.

With over 16 years of experience across the full spectrum of litigation and, in particular, high-stakes criminal and white-collar disputes, Prasad has advised and defended Indian and multinational corporations in complex investigations, prosecutions and regulatory actions.

Prasad's practice is particularly focused on white-collar crime, corporate misconduct and internal investigations. He regularly appears for large conglomerates and individuals before courts, investigative agencies and regulatory bodies, including the Economic Offences Wing, jurisdictional police stations, Central Bureau of Investigation, Enforcement Directorate, Securities and Exchange Board of India and other sectoral regulators.

On the prosecution side, he also advises corporate and individual complainants in initiating and pursuing criminal action, working closely with investigative agencies to ensure focused, evidence-led proceedings.
