Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) Mumbai Disputes Partner Vaibhav Singh is moving to Veritas Legal along with his team, according to sources.

Singh is set to strengthen Veritas' litigation and dispute resolution practice.

Confirming Singh's exit, SAM Mumbai Managing Partner Akshay Chudasama said,

"We wish him well."

We have reached out to Veritas Legal for comment.

Singh is an alumnus of Symbiosis Law School, Pune. With 16 years of experience, his expertise lies in corporate, commercial and civil litigation, white-collar crime, and arbitration and mediation. He represents clients before the Bombay High Court and other High Courts in matters relating to corporate and commercial matters, constitutional matters/ writ petitions and other corporate and shareholder disputes.

His work at SAM includes advising edtech firm Byju’s in a petition before the Bombay High Court seeking to quash a police complaint filed against founder Byju Raveendran. He also represented Indian Hotels Company and its directors in show-cause proceedings initiated by the Enforcement Directorate.

Singh's exit comes amid heightened lateral movement in India’s legal industry, as firms look to scale practice areas in response to shifting client demands.

Recently, Veritas saw the exit of it’s Disputes Partner Rahul Dwarkadas.

IndusLaw Disputes Partners Amit Jajoo and Sushmita Gandhi left the firm to join Trilegal along with their team.
