Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co has onboarded Namrata Bhagwatula and Aneesh Gupte as Partners in the Firm’s General Corporate Practice in Mumbai.
Bhagwatula is a 2014 alumna of Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur.
She has over 11 years of experience in private equity investments, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital investments, and general corporate advisory. She has advised on a wide range of high-value and complex transactions across sectors including renewable energy, healthcare, technology, and telecom. She has worked closely with multinational and Indian clients, including private equity funds, multilateral and development finance institutions, and venture capital investors.
Prior to joining SAM, Bhagwatula was Counsel at Trilegal. In the past, she has been associated with leading law firms such as TT&A and AZB & Partners.
Gupte is a 2006 alumnus of University of Mumbai. He is a Solicitor from the Bombay Incorporated Law Society and also a qualified Company Secretary.
Gupte has extensive experience in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, private equity investments, venture capital and early-stage investments, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, restructuring, and general corporate law. He advises a diverse client base including large domestic companies, multinational corporations, private equity firms, venture capital funds, and start-ups.
Gupte is joining SAM after spending 13 years at Desai & Diwanji as a Partner.
