Bharti Enterprises Group General Counsel Sameer Chugh joins Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as Partner

Group General Counsel at Bharti Enterprises Sameer Chugh is joining Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as a Partner in Delhi.

Chugh will focus on the firm's TMT and Regulatory Practice.

Welcoming Chugh, Managing Partner Cyril Shroff said,

Sameer is a well-respected lawyer; his background and breadth of experience align very well with firm’s vision and overall growth strategy in the corporate space and also in the TMT and Regulatory space. We are very excited to have him on board.”

In August 2019, Sameer Chugh had taken over as Group General Counsel of the Bharti Group, with Mukesh Bhavnani moving up as Advisor to the group of companies.

Chugh had joined Airtel in 2014, prior to which he was working at Cummins India as Vice President – Legal. He has also previously worked at Essar and BT PLC. He is a 1997 graduate of Symbiosis Law School.

On his appointment, Chugh said,
