Saurabhdeo Sharma has joined Godawari Power and Ispat Limited as Head of Legal.

Sharma is a 2008 graduate of Nagpur University.

With approximately 17 years of experience, he is a seasoned legal and compliance professional.

Prior to joining GPIL, he spent close to four years at Ather Energy as Senior Legal Counsel, contributing to high-impact mandates across sourcing and procurement, HR and employment, manufacturing, data privacy, and capital markets/IPO-related work in a fast-paced, innovation-led environment.

At GPIL, Sharma will be responsible for building and strengthening the in-house legal function, driving compliance, and supporting the company’s as well as the group’s strategic growth in the manufacturing, steel, mining and power sectors.
