Shafaq Uraizee Sapre joins Chandhiok and Mahajan as Managing Partner - Mumbai

Sapre will be managing the firm's Mumbai office and will also be a Partner in the firm’s corporate and M&A practices.

Shafaq Uraizee Sapre has joined Chandhiok and Mahajan as Senior Partner in the Mumbai office. Sapre has joined the firm as Managing Partner – Mumbai and will be a partner in the firm’s corporate and M&A practices.

Sapre is a 2001 graduate of the Government Law College, Mumbai.

With over 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments and transactions, Sapre brings a wealth of experience and expertise to C&M. She has represented multinational corporations, private equity firms, and family offices in complex domestic and cross-border transactions.   

Prior to joining C&M, Sapre was the Managing Partner at Uraizee Law Associates. She has previously worked as a Partner in JSA. In the past, she headed the corporate practice at Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan and was also the Head of the joint venture practice at Nishith Desai Associates.
