Exclusive: Shalini Saxena returns to Pine Labs as General Counsel ahead of IPO

Saxena had previously served as a General Counsel for Pine Labs from 2019 to 2022.

Shalini Saxena is set to rejoin Pine Labs as a General Counsel even as the company heads towards an Initial Public Offering (IPO).

Pine Labs has recently filed the Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to raise funds via IPO. 

Confirming the development, Saxena said,

"It’s a privilege to return and help complete the journey we set in motion years ago."

Saxena is a 2000 graduate of Delhi University. She also earned her LL.M. from the same University.

She has 25 years of experience in both litigation and corporate law. Prior to joining the corporate sector, she was a Partner with a Delhi-based law firm, working as a panel litigating lawyer in Delhi for various government bodies. As in-house counsel, she has worked in multiple industries including consumer finance, fintech and power, both as a commercial and an M&A counsel.

Saxena had previously served as General Counsel for Pine Labs from 2019 to 2022, after which she left to join CoinDCX as Head of Legal.

Till recently, she was working as an independent consultant to a few companies, including Trinity Indo-Pacific Partners, Nuvei & Rio.

She is also the co-founder of The CADRE, an online dispute resolution platform.
