Nishith Desai Associates (NDA) has announced the joining of Viral Mehta, a senior equity partner from S&R Associates, as Lead of Private Equity and Financial Services Regulatory at the firm's Mumbai office.
S&R SeniorPartner Rajat Sethi said,

Mehta is a graduate of Government Law College, Mumbai and holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School.
He has over 25 years of experience, specialising in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and joint ventures.
Before joining NDA, he became the first lateral partner at S&R, and previously, he co-headed A&M Law Offices.
He is also the author of the book Private Placement of Shares: Deal-making and the Madisonian Dilemma.
