Former Head Corporate Legal & Projects of ACC and Ambuja Cements Limited, Sumit Thakur has joined Allcargo Logistics Ltd/ECU Worldwide/GATI Ltd as Vice President & Head Legal (Group).
Thakur is a 2005 graduate of Campus Law Centre, Law Faculty, Delhi University. He earned his LL.M. from the Kurukshetra University in 2011.
Thakur has over 17 years of extensive experience of handling entire legal & compliance activities including litigation (contractual, criminal, civil, regulatory & IPR), arbitration, contracts drafting and vetting (international & domestic), property(purchase & disposal), business advisory, corporate restructuring and registration & enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights of large listed organizations. He has held leadership positions at multiple organizations like Tata Chemicals Limited, Crompton Greaves Limited, Blue Star Limited, Ambuja Cements Ltd. and ACC Ltd.
Prior to joining Allcargo Logistics, Thakur held the position of Head Corporate Legal & Projects at ACC Limited for nearly a year.
