Arvind SmartSpaces Limited has appointed former Godrej Properties legal officer Tarpit Patni as its Head Legal with effect from July 1, 2026.
Patni has also been designated as Senior Management Personnel of the company, Arvind SmartSpaces said in a stock exchange filing made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.
Patni was earlier Head Legal for the Mumbai Zone at Godrej Properties Limited. In that role, he was involved in structuring and strategising transactions for the acquisition of land parcels in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
According to the company, Patni also handled several high-stakes litigations for Godrej Properties. The filing said he helped provide “3x growth” to the zone.
Patni has over 13 years of experience across real estate transactional work, compliance and litigation strategy. He has also advised government and non-government organisations in the past, including Deendayal Port Trust and the State of Rajasthan.
He holds a BA LL.B degree from Nirma University, Ahmedabad, and a Master’s degree in law.
The appointment follows the resignation of Jai Kumar Ajbani as Head Legal of Arvind SmartSpaces. Ajbani resigned with effect from June 30, 2026, due to personal reasons.
