Former Judge of the Orissa High Court, Justice Purna Chandra Mishra, has passed away aged 89, Sambad English reported.

Justice Mishra served as the Judge of Orissa High Court from June 1, 1983 to December 23, 1994.

He was born on December 24, 1932 and started his law practice at the Orissa High Court in 1955. He worked as standing counsel of the Orissa Board of Waqfs in 1975 also served as standing counsel of the Government of India.

He is survived by his son and Senior Advocate Arun Kumar Mishra, and son-in-law and former Advocate General Surya Prasad Mishra.
