The IDIA Charitable Trust recently hosted the 7th edition of the IDIA Football League (IFL), an annual sports event that unites legal professionals and serves as a fundraiser to further legal education for underprivileged students across India.

This year, 18 teams participated, showing their support for diversity and Inclusion in the legal field, and demonstrating the power of sportsmanship to fuel positive social change.

For over 14 years, IDIA has transformed the lives of 224 students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds by supporting their journeys to top law schools in India.

The 2024 IFL reiterated the importance of equal opportunities in the legal field, with participation from women players and senior professionals highlighting its inclusivity. Teams such as Samvad Partners, Vahura, and Luthra & Luthra set a benchmark for collaboration across generations and genders.

Chris Parsons, a mental health advocate and Partner at Herbert Smith Freehills, graced the event as Chief Guest. Parsons, known for his dedication to social causes, shared motivational insights, drawing from his experiences, including walking 30 marathons across India to support Indian widows.
